Rooting for Health
Celebrating Nutrition Month
The Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Agriculture, working with the Kids Eat Smart Foundation, and School Milk Foundation, Egg Producers of Newfoundland and Labrador celebrates Nutrition Month in schools across the province by hosting an event called Rooting for Health.
This unique event brings together nutrition tips and facts, a visit from local farmers, and a nutritious breakfast. Famers on site will provide interesting facts and information on their products, how they are grown or produced, and help to dispel any associated myths. Breakfast will include fresh local eggs, milk, and berries.
For volunteer opportunities please contact: Chelsea Foley, chelsea@nlfa.ca or (709) 747-5708
Funding to host the event provided by Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a Federal-Provincial-Territorial initiative.
