February 10th, 2026 is Canada's Agriculture Day! How will you celebrate?

As part of the celebrations, Agriculture in the Classroom Newfoundland and Labrador (AITC-NL)  hosted an in-person event at Bishop Abraham Elementary in St. John's. Agriculture in the Classroom NL hosted a trade show in the gymnasium with farmers, agriculture professionals and special guests. Students also received exciting resources and giveaways AND a LIVE performance by the Juno Award winning band- The Swinging Belles!

All teachers (Kindergarden-12) throughout the province also had the opportunity to participate through a Social Media contest. Show us how your class celebrates Canada’s Agriculture Day, and be sure to add the hashtag #CdnAgDay and tag @AITCNL. We encourage all teachers to show us how they celebrate the food we grow here in Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as Canada.
